9-11 Sunrise Ceremony

Spiral Fountain in the Gardens of Remembrance, Battery Park

A community commemorative event showcasing music, poetry and reflections at dawn on September 11th. The Ceremony reawakens a tradition from the first years after 9-11 that drew together people from across the community and city.

Schedule

6:15 AM

Gather at The Sphere memorial to light candles and proceed to event location.

6:30 AM sharp
(6:32 AM Sunrise)

Program begins at the Spiral Fountain in the Gardens of Remembrance with
Presentation of Colors by the NYS National Guard Color Guard.

7:30 AM

Program ends
